Technology development from manufacturing, to mobility, to supporting digital transformation (DX) and a carbon-neutral society

Often called “the lifeblood of machines,” lubricants are indispensable to the operation of machinery.
Lubricants have a long history and were even used in the construction of the pyramids in ancient Egypt. They have undergone great changes along with the evolution of machinery, and today, they are being designed with even AI to optimize their molecular structures.
Lubricants have come a long way since the time in which they were just another fraction of crude oil. It is hard to imagine that today, we have oils as smooth as water that are being used to save energy in electric vehicles and improve datacenter efficiency. We are also promoting the development of products using carbon-neutral base oils.
Going forward, we will continue to contribute technical innovations toward a carbon-neutral society by making full use of advanced lubricant technologies.
