Global Internship
Aiming to create value through co-creation with digital talent worldwide, our company began exchange programs with overseas universities in FY2023. In FY2024, we recruited interns from Canadian university (third and fourth -year undergraduate students) (*1). Interns spent approximately eight months (*2) at the Central Technical Research Laboratory, engaged in software development for materials science.
Through their work at our company, interns acquired specialized knowledge in chemistry and experienced the appeal of working for ENEOS and in Japan.
Global Internship Process
Interns are recruited and participate in the program according to the process shown below.
In FY2024, this internship program was implemented with the cooperation of the Co-op Program (*3).
※1. A preparation period of at least eight months is required from the start of applications to the beginning of the internship.
※2. The internship period is eight months or longer.
※3. Co-op Program (Co-op: Cooperative education)
The Co-op program is an educational system at Canadian colleges/universities where students gain practical work experience at companies related to their major as part of their academic studies and receive course credit upon completion.

Why did you choose ENEOS for your internship?
I was interested in machine learning combined with chemistry and materials science.
And I could feel the passion and enthusiasm of ENEOS employees.
What did you gain and experience through the internship?
I gained specialized knowledge in chemistry by developing machine learning models.
What was your most memorable experience during the internship?
The most memorable part of my internship was the business trip to Hitachi City with several members of the Central Technical Research Laboratory, where we had the opportunity to tour a catalyst manufacturing plant.
How will you apply your internship experience to your future career?
I hope to make use of the experiences I gained at ENEOS and someday return to Japan to build a career in the exciting world of advanced technology.
