July 2010 Nippon Oil Corporation merged with Japan Energy Corporation and Nippon Petroleum Refining Co., Ltd. and changed its trade name to JX Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation.
October 2010 JX Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation established Osaka International Refining Company, Limited through an incorporation-type company split. While retaining the business related to Osaka oil refineries, 49% of the stock was transferred to PETROCHINA INTERNATIONAL (JAPAN) CO., LTD.
March 2011 Through an absorption-type split, the LP gas business of JX Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation, which was being operated by the former Nippon Oil Corporation and its subsidiary, was combined with the LP gas business of Mitsui Marubeni Liquefied Gas Co., Ltd., resulting in the formation of ENEOS GLOBE Corporation, the newly integrated subsidiary company of JX Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation.
January 2016 The Japanese trade name of the company was changed, but the English trade name remained JX Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation.
April 2017 JX Energy Corporation merged with TonenGeneral Sekiyu K.K. and changed its trade name to JXTG Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation.
June 2020 JXTG Energy Corporation changed its trade name to ENEOS Corporation.
